1. Spent all summer writing a dissertation, got a masters in Linguistics.
2. Recorded 30 cover songs in 30 days and uploaded them to Youtube.
3. Finally went to Germany.
4. Had a volleyball spiked hard on my face twice. No nosebleeds.
5. Had an excellent birthday party in a foreign country.
6. Did silly things with silly people for good reasons.
7. Discovered delicious Swedish cider in England and sweet Pineau des Charentes in Angouleme.
8. Saw some good movies: The Avengers, Skyfall, Looper, Safety Not Guaranteed, Sleepwalk With Me, Wreck-It Ralph, Dark Knight Rises, Moonrise Kingdom, Brave, The Hobbit, Amazing Spiderman, Ai Weiwei: Never Sorry, Indie Game: The Movie
9. Cooked a lot of lazy omelettes. Did not starve to death in foreign country.
10. Successfully dressed as Marceline the Vampire Queen for Halloween and played relevant songs on my amazing axe-uke.
11. Kept a South African vegan happy and healthy in California.
