Goals During Christmas Break!

University of York Christmas Break is from December 16th to January 9th (though classes don’t really start until January 16th). I have 4 assignments due on January 12th. Let’s get some stuff done!

1. Write Syntax essay (1000-2000 words?)

2. Write LVC essay (2500-3000 words)

3. Do Semantics assignment exercises.

4. Do Phonetics/Phonology assignment exercises.

5. Listen to/Imitate Cardinal Vowels every day.

6. Read Alphabet Juice by Roy Blount Jr.

7. Read a friendly version of Canterbury Tales.

8. Play table tennis with Saurabh several times a week.

9. See and speak with humans every day – Saurabh, Nur, Margarita, Meng, Heather, Filippe, Lucy, Imke, Burns, Robin, Wentworth Porters.

10. Play ukulele every day.

11. Make some Robert-style brussel sprouts.

12. Make some brownies.

13. Roast some marshmallows on the outside grill.

14. Wait to do jigsaw puzzle as long as possible. Then do the hell out of it.

15. Wait to open Christmas presents from Mom as long as possible.

16. Buy new earbuds.

17. Streamline the categories on tankhughes.com.

18. Prepare new feature to follow the end of I Loaf Geography.

19. Watch Doctor Who Special / Sherlock / Big Fat Quiz of the Year on a real television. possibly in the Wentworth Common Room.

20. See new Sherlock Holmes movie in theatres? See a movie in a theatre.
