Once upon a time You Look Nice Today, greatest podcast on the planet that they never update anymore but it’s okay I still love them, had a podcast called “The Good Part” in which they explain the modern problem of loving a song and wanting your loved ones to love the part you love while trying to keep their attention until the good part comes up. By just making a clip of the ‘good part,’ you can bypass this inconvenience of modern times and my brain thought it was a good experiment to try out, by way of re-introducing myself to GarageBand.

April 21, 2010Once upon a time at University of Portland I took a Soviet Russia class. (You would not believe how many hammers and sickles I drew in the margins.) It was a genuinely great class and we watched a series of incredibly informative videos, including one in which a soldier said that the day he finally got shoes was the best day of his life. Anyway, one of these videos focused on the USSR talking to other red-minded countries, and there was some old footage of Fidel Castro. It turns out he looks a lot like Liam Neeson.
A few weeks ago I finally submitted a picture comparing Liam Neeson to Fidel Castro. I wasn’t sure if they would do anything with it, but it is now a legitimate thing on the internet. Yay!
The link is here.

April 12, 2010Sleeveface.com is a great meme where people take pictures of themselves, covering up body parts with an album cover to create the illusion of the world beyond the margins of the album cover. Two Christmases ago, I told my family and we did a few. A couple of weeks ago, I finally submitted them to the website, and they’ve included two.
1. Ty as Bob Willis
2. Conn as Bob Dylan
Since they are not going to use the third, I present here for your viewing pleasure… Conn with ballet legs.

March 28, 2010Free Rice is a great site where you can take endless vocabulary tests!
If you don’t like vocabulary, you can take everlasting multiple choice tests on Art, Chemistry, Geography, Language Learning, and Math. Every time you get an answer right, the site donates 10 grains of rice to the World Food Programme. It is so good.
The other day, a certain person I was speaking with asked me what my highest level was, and I said 48 out of 60, which I was not sure was true. It lead to terrible confessions about me being a liar all the time, which is a fact. So I played on Free Rice this evening until it was true. This is my screenshoot proof.
