Ukulele Update: Songs I Can Play Without Looking at Chords

Playing for Gomi in Seoul.

Amy Winehouse – You Know I’m No Good
Beirut – Elephant Gun
Benny Bell – Shaving Cream
Bright Eyes – First Day of My Life
Cake – Sad Songs & Waltzes
Cole Porter – Every Time We Say Goodbye
Danielle Ate the Sandwich – Public Property
Harry and the Potters – I am a Wizard
Jonathan Coulton – Still Alive
Maroon 5 – Sunday Morning
Monty Python – Decomposing Composers
Nellie McKay – Mother of Pearl
Noah and the Whale – Five Years Time
Norah Jones – Turn Me On
Peter Pan the Musical – Distant Melody
The Proclaimers – Then I Met You
Radiohead – Creep
The Troggs – With a Girl Like You

Eighteen’s not bad. I can play others with 2-5 chords, but I need a paper with those chords in front of me to do it.

All I do to find chords is google “sad songs and waltzes chords” and look through the top results for chords that look friendly to ukulele, meaning no G/B or D5 weird ones. Just make sure to look for chords, not tabs. Guitar tabs are not useful for ukulele playing. The version of Sad Songs and Waltzes that I use starts A E A D A. The First Day of My Life chords I use start F A Dm Bb C. Good luck!
