round 3

1. immature
2. spaghetti
3. insouciance (I spelled it wrong)

My favorite old boss Jesse came and watched the bee with his wife, it was lovely. I left the house with a temperature, but I beat it into submission and it was not a foggy brain that got me out of the bee. Insouciance is a generally terrible word.

There was a charity spelling bee tonight at Comedy Sportz for SOSSA. It was FUN. I wish I could have been in for longer, they had cool inventive rounds after I got out… 🙁

1. advantage
2. accommodate
3. brisage (I spelled it wrong)

Brisage has to do with explosives. It is a very technical word not used outside of the firearm and explosives nerd world. F it.

1. beginner
2. grandular
3. ramekin

Norton won! Norton is great. I could have chosen pomfret, which sounded like pommes frites, but it’s a fish not a fry.

1. beau
2. pomade
3. flummox (I spelled it wrong)

Lovely evening with the Robert. Hot cider in the lounge. I taught a guy that Seatac is a portmanteau of Seattle and Tacoma, which he had never realized. Someone had to spell OHMAGODITS cabotage. When I spelled flummox, I had a picture of the ‘m’ taking up a lot of space, but I couldn’t figure out if that was because it was an important part of the word, or because there were 2 m’s. I chose poorly.
